403 stainless steel pipe has excessive amount of chromium content providing excellent corrosion resistance, making it stable and unaffected in harsh environments. High hardness, toughness and wear resistance are few examples of its good mechanical properties. However, it is less corrosion-resistant than other stainless steels such as 304 or 316 and may not be favorable when used in highly corrosive environments.
